There is but one God, self-existent, manifest in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This one triune God is the Creator of all things visible and invisible. He is before all things, greater than all things, and by His power and might, the sustainer of all things.
He is Spirit and Truth and desires that we, who bear his image, should worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Unfortunately, our original parents, Adam and Eve, failed to worship God in this manner. By succumbing to the deception of Satan, not only did the whole of creation fall, but through the transgression of the one man, Adam, sin entered into the world, and death through sin spread to all men, because all men sinned.
But God, in order to demonstrate his love and mercy, his grace and truth, as well as his justice, righteousness, and holiness, sent his Son, Jesus of Nazareth, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, being made in the likeness of men, to redeem the elect of God unto eternal life, to judge Satan and all other created beings and to restore the created order.
Jesus of Nazareth, our Savior, Lord and God, Redeemer, High Priest and Friend, died for us. Jesus took upon Himself the just wrath of God that we deserved for our transgressions, imputing to us His righteousness in exchange for our sin. While He was crucified for our iniquity, He was raised for our justification, and He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, always interceding on our behalf.
He and the Father have sent the Holy Spirit to be our Wonderful Counselor and Teacher, through whom we can go to Jesus and the Father in prayer with anything, anytime, anywhere. He is faithful and true to his written Word, the Holy Scripture, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, in which all the promises of God find their “yes” and “amen” in Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, the Son of God, the Son of Man .
